AIA Continuing Education

Education for Design Professionals

 

The Gypsum Association has developed two courses for professionals seeking AIA continuing education credit:

 

Understanding the GA-600 Fire Resistance and Sound Control Design Manual

  • AIA Course Number FRDM06
  • An AIA Continuing Education Program provided by the Gypsum Association (Registered  G261)

The Gypsum Association is registered as an Approved Provider with the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA CES). This course has been approved by AIA CES for continuing professional education. AIA members who successfully complete this course will earn  2 CES Learning Units. This course qualifies for HSW credit.

A grade of 80% or better is required for credit or a Certificate of Completion. After successful completion of the course, email name and AIA number to shines@gypsum.org. After verifying your passing score, the Gypsum Association will report the score to AIA CES.

Upon request, a Certificate of Completion will be issued to anyone completing the course.

You will find it helpful to have a copy of the current edition of the Gypsum Association’s Fire Resistance and Sound Control Design Manual available as a reference as you complete the course. If you do not have a current edition, purchase one through the Gypsum Association Bookstore.

This course is not intended to promote or sell any specific product and it should not be construed or interpreted to be an approval or endorsement by AIA of any construction material or any method or manner of handling, using, distributing, or dealing in any material or project.
