The Gypsum Association’s recently revised video, The Miracle Mineral, and the Association’s video production contractor, Production Outfitters, Inc., of Albuquerque, NM, have each received a 2008 Videographer Award of Distinction.
“We’re quite pleased about the award,” reports Lee Jones, the Director of Promotion Services for the Association, “and very grateful that Production Outfitters thought enough of the work that they did for us to submit the project for the award. We understand that the Award of Distinction is one of the most coveted awards in the video industry.”
The Videographer Awards project is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). AMCP is an international organization that consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and freelance professionals who have entered AMCP programs.
The goal of the Videographer Awards is to identify and recognize the video artisans who excel in the scope of their own environment. Over the past 12 years, thousands of production and communication professionals have entered their best and most creative work.
Winners were selected from 166 categories under the headings of television productions, video productions and new media. The Award of Distinction was awarded for projects that exceeded industry standards. The Miracle Mineral was submitted for consideration in the Instructional category of the Videographer Awards.
Copies of the video may be purchased by accessing the Gypsum Association website at www.gypsum.org.
The Gypsum Association is in its 78th year of service as the technical, promotion, and information center of the gypsum industry. The Association, representing gypsum board manufacturing companies located throughout the United States and Canada, is located in Washington, DC.
